Hobby Press is a family operated company which was started in a garage by Stanley Gardner and son David as a “Hobby”. As the years progressed and their reputation grew, so did their little company. Outgrowing the garage, Hobby Press, inc. purchased Executive Printers of Florida, taking on the new name. Today there are four generations; Stan & Barbara, David & Jo-Anne, Ryan & Carly and Chad & Elena (thrid generation), as well as forty employees, split into two shifts, can be found working together to bring a full knowledge of the skills of the past, and the technology of today together to better serve our customers needs.
As of November of 2006, Carly Gardner took on the project of establishing a second location inside Baptist Hospital. The Executive Printers Business Center in Baptist Hospital specializes in designing and producing quick print, color and b/w copying, posters, cards and more. Orders that can not be produced on the spot, are picked up once a day, produced at our main facility and redelivered upon completion.
Executive Printers is an unconventional print shop in the sense that it brings together the best qualities of a design studio, a full scale print plant, a quick print plant, a high speed copy center and mailing and fulfillment facilities to best suit our customers ever growing and changing needs. Recent upgrades to our equipment have put us on the cutting edge of graphic design and print production. Our most recent upgrades in press equipment have been a new 5-color 20 x 26 Shinohara and a new 2-color 20 x 26 Shinohara. In our pre-press department we have gone direct to plate (computer to plate), eliminating the film process. By eliminating this step, we both, decrease cost and the chance for error. With our filmless matchprint maker we can guarantee exact color match. An added bonus is that our prepress computers are calibrated to both Shinohara’s consuls allowing us to program the ink adjustments on our color-calibrated monitors.
From our simple beginning we are now a state of the art print and graphic design facility.
